The construction of the workshops began in 1898. In 1912, the complex was expanded and modernized. At its peak, the workshops were the most modern and largest in Europe. In the 1960s, they employed 450 people. In 1974, the last repair of the locomotive was carried out in the workshops. From 1989, the rolling stock consisted only of diesel locomotives, which were repaired by 104 employees. In 2001, it was decided to shut down all narrow-gauge railways in the area, which resulted in the liquidation of workshops.
