I know this has been done to death but I thought I would post a recent report on this amazing property so people can see the current state of the property and also our experience getting into the property as a few people have had varied experiences based on past reports.
I and a mate visited the property during the week, we weren't sure what the best day would be to go but we ended up going on a weekday and there was no security, if there is truly security there as some of the previous reports stated we assume they are only there on weekends perhaps when the builders are not there to monitor the site? That's just my assumption. We entered through the back near the church which is completely blocked. In front of the church, there are a few buildings which are gated off but you can slip under these. Not much point going there however as if you slip around the front of these (which is a bit out in the open) you can get down a steep slope to some stairs which take you to the full sheet metal barriers protecting the main area.
This is the hardest part as you either have to go over (anit-trespass paint) or under it which is quite a squeeze and I'm fairly slender... but we got in. Once you're behind the fence, it's smooth sailing, at least it was for us, no builder entered this area and the signs about dogs/security cameras are just a deterrent. It's an incredible sight but disappearing fast. It seems like they might be trying to retain the main building as it has a protective metal roof installed and is in petty good condition internally.
If you're debating visiting, perhaps go during the week but make sure you're either a good climber or slim enough to easily squeeze under the fences when you get close to the main building. Happy exploring!
