The hall remains in very good condition with lots of peeling paint,
except for 4 broken panes in the dome causing water to drip through.
The main hall was originally built in 1790 for a merchant, then had a few owners
before some cottages for orphaned children were built on surrounding land in 1900,
these were designed on the cottages in Fazakerley.
The hall was increased in 1904 with designs by Edmund Kirby.
The hall became a children's hospital in the 1940s, then used as NHS offices in the 1990s.
The villa was originally built in 1900 for the superintendent of the cottages, then used as NHS offices in the 1990s.
All of the buildings were demo'd in 1991, except the hall & villa which closed in 2014
the hall is grade 2 listed.
