Another site myself and @mookster explored a week or two ago on a Norfolk Road Trip. The weather was abhorrent and caused one of our locations to be inaccessible by road; and nowhere safe to leave the vehicle and venture on foot.
We were successful at the Feather Bedding factory in Diss so decided to try our luck at this Meat Processing Plant also in Norfolk which Mookie mentioned he knew of. Easily on site, and we could see it was pretty trashed but ventured in anyway. There isn’t much about this site really; other than the fact it is built on top of a site called “Orchard Farm” and likely dates back to the 70s in its current guise.
It has that normal meat/death smell to it throughout; which was nasty at the time, but did not stop us smashing into a huge portion of Chicken Tenders at Slim Chickens later in the evening (Very good it was too).
The place is very stripped and still has that cold, sterile feel to it. It appears it closed in around 2019 when the O’Sullivan’s retired. It seems to have suffered a small fire at some point in the front and is lying in a very derelict state awaiting its inevitable demolition for housing.
