First report for a while! This one has obviously gone downhill since the last few reports, all the buildings are now chained and locked shut and there's a few bits of vandalism. Not an easy one for someone my size lol but we got there eventually after sussing out the sporadic security bloke.
The site is now back up for sale and as such the fence has been mended and security stepped up. The park closed in 2009 following the sale of Pontins to Ocean Parcs. It's future remains uncertain although plans for redevelopment into housing seem to have been shelved by the owners. Despite the lack of access to the buildings now there's still a fair bit here and it made for a good mooch around for a hour or so. Quite eerie knowing that so many people once flocked to this camp every summer, the place would have been bustling. Visited with Scottish.
