Report - "Potato Quarry" nr Paris, April 2009

[Oxygen Thief]

Visited with Dweeb, and some French mine explorers.

In usual fashion, the first stop was for a drink and some food... check the tables...

We then split for a while to go for an explore and take some pictures.

Tons of potatoes...

No French quarry is complete without a rotting Renault van or two...

and talking about vans, it's not very often you have to use one as a right-of-way...

The local farmer, who maybe owns the place, uses the quarry as a cool dark place to store them, there was tons of potatoes in there.

Does that sandwich packet in the first pick say "ploughmans"? Great pics, sorry if it's a dumb Q but what did they quarry there? Sandstone?
