Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children

Chilled out explore with a non member. This place is in a pretty bad state but still fun to have a mooch about.
Forgot my tripod so just shitty handheld flash photos.

History: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children in London was formed from the 1942 merger of the Queen's Hospital for Children in Bethnal Green and the Princess Elizabeth of York Hospital for Children, Shadwell. The Shadwell site was closed in 1963. In 1996 the hospital became part of The Royal Hospitals NHS Trust, later renamed Barts and The London NHS Trust. In 1998 the services carried out by the hospital were moved to within The Royal London Hospital, but retaining their separate identity. The Bethnal Green site is currently disused.

Shame they're ditching some of those buildings really, looks like the theatre lights will be the last thing to go....

Nice one. We've been there few weeks back. Report to follow. True, there's not much left, and there's a lot of playing cat&mouse with secca to get in. Great view from the roofs!

Yeah we spotted security below us whilst on the roof. I think he had eye sight problems.

Hahaha, yeah, they are not very bright in there. We got in past 2 guys and one only spotted us few hours later when we were making a photo shoot on the roof's chambers :) He was then waiting for us outside for about 2 h and we still managed to run past him and before he realised what's going on we were already over the fencing and behind the corner :)
