RAF Wethersfield now lies mostly disused in the Essex countryside the site formally used by the RAF-USAF-UKMODP. All of the cold war bunkers and taxiways and hangers and other facility's besides the base housing sit unused and are decaying the site was very secure with numerous security patrols around the site and a few very close calls on our visit and only one way in and out the site is also still owned by the MOD The site is currency used by Essex fire and rescue along with the Home office we explored most of site in the dark so enjoy the few photos i took along the way
