2. The Explore
Bit of a break from Welsh slate quarries. Was passing so thought it rude not to pop into this old favourite and do a quick update. There’s been few changes since I was here last July. However, the road up to it has been tarmac-ed and runs up to the main entrance. Also, the now converted church looks like it is on the brink of opening as a rather nice high-end café. Hence pre- or post-explore tiffin will soon be in order.
The hospital itself is little changed. There is still a significant number of buildings to look round, albeit most on them empty. There are some great shots to be had here though and there’s access to most if not all buildings. And the site itself is currently a complete walk in.
