Report (Permission Visit) Richard Dunn, Bradford - February 2020

This was a permission visit and there is now 24 hour security on site. The leisure center had a variety of features including water slides, indoor squash, gymnastic rooms etc

History
Richard Dunn opened in 1978 and only closed in doors in 2019 as it is moving to another location. The building was still being emptied as we walked around and took pictures. The site was going to be a morgue during the COVID19 outbreak if it escalated further. Luckily as of recently it has not needed to be used.

I thibk the running costs were too high think the new site will be a bit smaller

That brings back memories as a lad!

Used to always pass it on the bus from Huddersfield into Bradford. Good times!
