There's plenty of history on this place already, so I won't repeat it all here. Also, someone else has posted a report this week in the New Members section, so no introduction needed on the location itself...
I arrived in Aberdeen on Saturday to stay with a pal for a few days. After searching 'Aberdeen' on here and seeing what was on offer, there was no way I was leaving without a decent explore. My host there knew about Broadford Works, but he'd never thought about exploring it, and was unaware of my rapidly-developing UE obsession until I suggested we paid a visit. Pretty sure he's caught the bug now.
The two of us first went to the site on Sunday, but quickly realised we had company. We pressed on for a while, but the orgy of destruction being perpetrated by the gang of feral youths ahead of us showed no signs of abating, so we left them to it. On Tuesday, we returned, 1 man stronger and desperate to explore this place properly. There were a couple of firemen on site at one point - not quite sure why. They didn't seem to notice us despite the fact we were pretty much in full view when they turned up. After that, we had the place to ourselves...
First, some external shots:
(hose tower reflected in broken mirror)
And some internal shots:
One for the HDR fans:
Finally, various artifacts:
Cheers for looking.
