The river sherbourne in coventry has been hidden from public view since the 70s, when coventrys council decided that a river didn't fit in with all the concrete and bird crap. It only appears for a short time behind some shops before disappearing back underground again. There is some fantastic features left down there including bridges, some if which date back hundreds of year. Other notable finds was a syringe, many Victorian bottles, shopping trolleys, fish, a turntable and a large concrete bollard which had been washed down!
