History - the new pool was announced in 2015, it was due too open in Spring 2018 but due too a lot of setbacks it finally opened in June 2019.
The old outdoor pool which closed in October 2014 due too an asbestos scare was filled in during 2016. It was then turned into a car park for the new pool, the old indoor pool is awaiting demolition which looks like will happen soon.
Explore - access is probably one of the easiest I’ve ever done. Was in there for 45 minutes issues at all. It’s a big building so I almost got lost once but it’s not too hard to find your way around. There’s access to the sports centre, gym and soft play area at the moment as well as the pools so there is a lot to see in the building. Didn’t see any builders there but there’s a lot of building equipment inside so I don’t think this place will be around much longer.
A lot of windows are open so I did hear the door slam a few times and thought someone was in there but it was just my imagination. Also there is a motion sensor although I didn’t set it off so be careful
