Hey 28DL, first time poster here from Longridge, up in Lancashire.
Thought I'd make my way to my local ROC post today after reading a ton of threads on here.
Situated just next to a golf course and about 5 minutes drive from Longridge.
I actually spoke to the owner, who plans to renovate the post into an amateur radio station, he's already a VHF antenna up and plans to have a 40m dipole soon. A lot of the earth has been dug away to make a more friendly entrance.
Quite a small space, with obvious works going on, still quite interesting
An old first aid notice, a bit damp
Friendly welcome sign as well, with barely noticeable 28DL scrawled across the top
Battery switch looking thing here
Last two pictures here are the original entrance hatch and what I can only assume is the control for the shutters on the surface
The owner told me they used pinhole cameras on the surface to take measurements of a nuclear blast if it happened.
