Royal Marines Deep Refuge, Chatham, Kent - June 2024
The Royal Marines Deep Refuge is a deep shelter in Chatham, Kent, it was dug in 1938 during the Munich Crisis they were constructed under the site of the old Royal Marines Barracks which was closed in 1950 and was finally demolished in 1960.
It is in near pristine condition with the original beds still installed, the only bit which was a bit poor were the stairs which had mostly been snapped in half.
I did this explore with 5 of the lads last night and it is one of my favourites.
