The tour bus arrived in full force here, for what I thought would be just an Okay house, however it was possible the cleanest explore I've ever seen.

History
Not really got a whole lot of history on this, it clearly hasn't been abandoned for very long as its virtually spotless. The house isn't very old as far as derp mansions go judging by the more modern styling (1960-1980s maybe?)
I believe it was left due to liquidation of a business, so I guess they had to try and sell up, but I'm clutching at straws a bit here. I'm sure someone else might be able to dig up a little more information on the place.

The Explore
Considering we were a pretty large group, we managed to get in without attracting attention from the local millionaire neighbours. It ended up being a bit of a flying visit, so this isn't a comprensive report by any means. The house itself is nice from the outside, but is really quite special inside, the spiral stairs and foyer being the real focal point of the building.
It's a big house on a big plot of land in an expensive part of surrey, so who ever used to lived here was certainly no muggle. I really do hopefully they don't let it fall into disrepair like a lot of these large houses that often get left to rot.
A great way to end a busy day out of umbex!

Awesome pics there Grom. We also need to have words about camera settings as all my ones of the staircase had far too much light coming in through the windows.

Thanks!
I always underexpose my shots a little, especially windows. My Fujifilm recovers so much detail from the shadows in RAW that it's a non issue to underexpose 1 EV or so. That way the windows aren't blown out, or are less blown out at least. Then just wack the shadows up in LR and tinker until you are happy.

Awesome! Yeah the rule of thumb is that you can often recover detail underexposed parts, but overexposed bits cannot be saved because they are just pure white pixels. Just make sure you shoot at like ISO 100/200, the less noise the better etc.. :thumb

I think your history is pretty spot on. Seems the lady director of the company she ran was dissolved. No active electoral register after 2003. Have you seen the proposal for what the new place will look like. Well to me it has no character, and looks like a glass box with wood air vents lol . Great tips there on exposure. Thats all I understood though lol. Im still getting use to my settings and lens .

Where abouts is this place in Surrey like the road closest to it? Only that I want to explore this place and I live quite far away so I want to know if this is worth the time!

It isn't worth a long drive regardless
