Following a lid-popping evening in Bradford where I totally forgot to bring my camera (d'oh) I met up with Ojay the next morning to get some manc drains ticked off the 'list'
We stopped off for a pre-drain maccies and had a quick look at the entrance to Gorton Falls first, for future reference and then headed off to the infall of Sidedraught Induction... A limbo was required to get in but once inside it was rather pleasant, 7ft RCP gave way to lovely brickwork after only a few meters...
Anyway on with the pics, apologies in advance for the multicoloured lighting in some shots, I just got a new headtorch and was playing a bit.
Random debris...
Side pipe leading to a massive sewer overflow chamber
Penstock controls, well rusted.
On top of the overflow chamber, the sewer ran underneath us.
Sewer infall bit. (it smelled)
Ye olde brickwork
Posing.
