Visited with Tom Sherman on an Autumn weekend afternoon, I'd been here before but only took a crappy video, so though I'd like to go back and get some crappy pictures and muck around with my blue torch. We didn't climb the interceptor chamber, it was revolting enough and lenses were steaming up in the mist, so in, a couple of quick pics and then out again. I reckon that the best parts are the changing brickwork anyway. We took the right of the tunnel near the start, as I remembered the small inspection chamber along the way. Levels were a lot lower than last time and the holey stretch, was much easier to navigate without going on your arse. Towards the end as we strolled, it looked like someone was injecting black ink into the water and it fucking stunk. It wasn't long after this that light appeared and we were out. We climbed the hill and wandered back to the car, rather than going back the same way, as I'd done last time. An enjoyable spidertastic mooch.
Cheers for looking.
Sidedraught is a culverted section of Gore Brook in darkest Gorton, Manchester including a CSO/Sewage Interceptor and lots of lovely brickwork.
Cheers for looking.
