Built in 1848, Soldier's Point Hotel was formerly the residence of the Government contractor. It is an example of an early Victorian castellated building, and has two stories, barred windows and curtain wall towers. It is faced in stucco.

The house became a hotel in the mid-twentieth century but fell into disuse around the turn of the twenty-first century and was subsequently heavily damaged by fire in 2011.

Nice shots. I've been a couple of times, both to get an overhead photo of this place, but the weather has always let me down.

This is very sad to see it in this condition I never got to go and have a look last time we visited Anglesey.
I used to visit when we were sailing in Holyhead (RAF sailing club) and the Marine Craft Unit use to be based here.
I have to say since the bypass for the A5 has been put in everywhere including Holyhead has turned to C**p. Theres no nice words to say.
Very sad.
