A very wet level. Not much history on it that I can find.
I expect it dates to the 1800's.
Not many visit this one as you are up to your thighs within metres of going in. It gets chest height after a collapse but then gets a drier after going through the deep stuff.

Was there about three hours ago! Had waders but had to turn back as as you say, goes over wader level. Good report and props for getting in there

Cheers, it's a good one to see with all the flowstone, it's ok to do with chest waders but gets quite close to the top of them

We unclogged the approach and water flowed out a bit, but it made little difference to the overall level.

Yup it won't make much difference as you drop down into it. Gets even deeper further in after where there is a collapse as it's acting like a dam
