The factory was owned by the most eminent Czech businessmen of the 19th century. Carpets were produced here and then exported all over the world. During World War II, the machines were used to produce blankets for the German army. The post-war nationalization of the plant resulted in the resumption of the original production, until the bankruptcy at the beginning of the 21st century.
