Very surreal experience visiting St. Joseph’s Orphanage. Best get there quick if it’s on your to do list because part of it is being demolished soon. Just a heads up the local youths like to hang out in there and smash things up during the day. The way in is just diagonal from the Hartley’s Wine Bar on Mount Street. The gate has been left open. No climb or anything, happy days!
There’s hardly any more stuff in there compared to our last visit as they have to move it out for the demolition and some of the floors have seen better days, so be careful and watch where you step. The basement is wet so it might be best to wear some waterproof boots. I have attached the notice for the demolition plan.
