It's taken me a while to get this up.
I visited this on a spectacularly long one-day trip to the Island. Had the intent of visiting this and Culver Down gun battery - nothing to adventurous as I didn't have a lot of time. Culver Down post expected shortly.
It's a nice little tunnel. As has been mentioned in previous threads, it was used for growing mushrooms of all things after its decommissioning as a train tunnel. It's still got plenty of interesting mushroom-related material in... nothing train-like though.
I'm afraid you'll have to excuse my photos. Pitch black photography with a tiny compact point and shoot digital camera isn't the easiest thing to do (although I expect some of you more experienced photographers could do better than me). I've tried editing some of the more pathetic ones so details can be made out clearer. It's not for effect, it's just so you can see what's in the picture. Enjoy.
