Been eyeing this place up for a while now and decided to drag @ChelseaGetsLost along with me. A medieval parish church, dating mainly from the 14th and 15th centuries, which is now in ruins. The church originally had a round tower, which collapsed in 1906, and was heavily restored in the late 19th century. The church was closed for services in 1935.

There is a suggestion that, even further back in time, the church’s origins rest in Late Saxon times. The church was heavily restored in 1874 by the Burroughs family but its once proud round tower, with octagonal tope, collapsed in 1906 and the church was abandoned in 1936.

Allowed to view with permission.

Nice shots, is this the one that is in someone's backyard and you have to ask them if you can take a look?
Thank you and Yes this is it! Really happy to allow visitors in if they knock and ask. They said they get many people coming to see this place. It’s honestly stunning inside, photos don’t show its real beauty.

Good to know they welcome visitors. I'd like to do this one, it draws my attention more than other church ruins, I'm not sure why!

It's such a ice place this. Been three times myself. The couple who owns it are so nice and it's really good they let people wander. Would not mind going back as it's over six years since I last went.

I was here last weekend, such a lovely little place. The people who own it are so nice and gave us lots of information on the church and past attempts to try and save it. It's well worth getting permission to have a look around!

So helpful! I find most people are happy to help when it comes to just asking for permission too.
