History:
Originally St.Peter's was build to serve casualties of the second world war. The mortuary was built in the 1940's on the edge of the site; after the extensive redevelopment of the site, the mortuary was found to be too small to cope with the increase in cadavers. The mortuary was shut down in April 2009 and moved to the new building located central to the main hospital.
The Explore:
I visited this site with fellow 28DL member Slayaaaa, we actually visited another site very close to the mortuary and decided to hit this one whilst we were in the area. For me this site had a very odd feel to it, it was very morbid and yet very serene.
It is a shame about the condition of the site now, however it is still on my list for revisits. I hope you enjoy my photos.
