After doing a recce of a few places round Birmingham we decided to do here to try and make the night more worthwhile. Whilst not the highest of buildings at six floors, it does offer some nice views of St Philips Cathedral and Colmore Square.
I have struggled to find history on the site, but it has been occupied in the past by Solicitors, Recruitment Firms and the likes. In 2008 Opus Land submitted a planning application to refurb the building into one, offering 1000sqm floor plates. This was seemingly withdrawn and replaced to turn the building into a 168 bedroom hotel. The top floors show the partitioned rooms, and a whole lot of baths.

Setting up for the half marathon (or marathon lite for those who can't manage a full marathon) included a test run of changing the colours of the Town Hall.
