A culvert drains the water from 2 small surface streams around the southern and eastern sides of Eccup reservoir in Leeds. I did a solo explore during the summer and couldn't any mention of it anywhere, so I called it Stairway to Heaven
The outfall is at the top of a staircase of 142 steps. The outfall is gated, and at present is unlocked. The is some building work going at Eccup, so the culvert gate may be locked after all the work is finished.
A small side passage (3 feet diameter) on the right offers another way in.
The main passage decreases to 4 feet high and continues at this height to end.
Several manhole shafts lead to the surface, a couple have steel ladders.
The next feature is the junction. A nice piece of brickwork.
The left branch leads to the east inlet.
