History
Standish Hospital was a former park and country house turned specialist orthopaedics, rheumatology and respiratory care National Health Service (NHS) hospital, located in the hamlet of Standish, Gloucestershire, England.[1] Closed in 2004, it is proposed for a mixed-use residential and medical campus style redevelopment.
Standish Mutual Care Trust proposed turning the residual 31 acres (13 ha) site into a centre for health and well being, but were out bid by a private healthcare concern.[6] Having then proposed total redevelopment to residential, Gloucestershire County Council are now proposing a mixed-use redevelopment of the site into a health and social care centre. Proposed as a "health campus", it would offer supported living options and access to care for the elderly and people with physical and learning disabilities.

Visited 3 times over the space of a month with clebby and huey. It's been a while since I've been out exploring due to various other summer time commitments, but this was good way to get back on it. Looks like it's been a while since this one has cropped up so hopefully I've captured a few bits that some of you haven't seen on here. Despite the onsite security and the vast number of PIRs that litter the place, this was a fairly relaxed stroll. It was refreshing to not see much in the way of vandalism, mainly just natural decay which made a nice change. We managed to cover the majority of the site with ease, only missing out the X-ray department and the nursing block I think.
Photos are all handheld unfortunately as I was expecting it to be a fairly short visit especially when the alarms were screaming around us, yet somehow on our final visit we must've been in there 3-4 hours undisturbed.... all photos are spread across a sunny evening and a wet and miserable afternoon.
The oldest derp toilet I have ever seen....
