The process of extracting magnesium and mixing it was first tested in a bath tub. In 1937 the current site opened and at its height in the 60's was the biggest in the world.

It finally closed around 2005 and since then is completely unrecognisable. It looks like some sort of apocolyptic mess, but it is interesting, shame 90% has been knocked down.

Nothing has changed apart from the security hut seems to have been abandoned, including the car.

We all know the history and if you dont i encourage you to look at the magworks website.

Quite please with my self and i think i have accumulated an intresting set of pictures. Hope you feel the same way.
