Stoke on Trent College - Cauldon Site - July 2019

History

A now redundant part of Stoke-on-Trent college This part of the college was know as the Cauldon but it has now been empty for roughly two years. Apparently this building is awaiting demolition to be replaced by student flats. The building suffered fire damage early last year and looks like several more attempts which failed to spread. To be fair the site is pretty smashed up by kids but was a decent explore despite this as it is such a big building (three floors)

The Explore

We went to this site in holiday term time which probably wasn't the best of timings. There were a few people around as it's near a main road so had to be a little careful. Once we got close to the building there was a fairly easy way to get into the building. Again had to be careful as it's just about visible from the main road. Sadly kids have been into this place and totally trashed it, smashing pretty much all of the interior windows and tried to start various fires in different parts of the building. There was a fairly big fire in a part of the building but didn't spread too fair but it make for some interesting photos. Anyway here is what I got.

I went here the other weekend, fun to explore - had to be sneaky with workers working upstairs on the demolition i think!!

Sadly, the whole building is now gone as of Early October 2020. Great photos!
