After me and Da-Mop's trip to the NCB Coal Research Establishment at Stoke Orchard (http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=34722), we decided to attempt the ROC Post at Stoke Orchard. I have never been particuarly interested in ROC Posts, but I guess it's worth it when you actually see the post, and know you can get in.
Located by the railway, this place must have been horrible to be posted at. When we were down there, the trains thundering nearby shook the entire room.
The actual post has obviously had fire damage, and there is no sign of beds apart from some folding metal shell, and the chemical toilet has been ripped out. However, there is more down there than some posts have.It is incredibly humid in ROC posts; I had no idea!
