Sybro Spinning, Colne Mill Slaithwaite, visited with Camerashy. Now you may be forgiven in thinking that when you first see this place it looks crap, you may also be forgiven in thinking the same when first entering the site, the ground floor is a sad reminder of its former glory days the main room has clear evidence of the machinery that once produced the woolen yarn etc for the textile industry. the machinery more than likely went to India. we came very close to leaving this place before we ventured upstairs and thank god we did as this is where we stumbled on a little treasure trove, Original blue prints dated from 1900 to about 1930 and letters dated 1935 plus lots of leaflets and ledgers, basically a fantastic little find. so all in all it may look crap but i guess thats why we call it exploring because you just don't know what's in the next room...sorry very little history if any i can find..Enjoy all the same
