The Explore
This was a pretty big gamble checking this place out, a local friend had mentioned it being closed and could be worth a look so we made the effort and set off up to Carlisle.
This was a really strange explore, even though it was pretty small it was still full of all kinds of equipment and general bits and bobs. Three ultrasound type machines still left there as well as two operating theatres, filing cupboards and shelfs bursting with patients records and a cupboard full of breast implants!!
The History
The hospital closed unexpectedly in 2014 when it went into liquidation, but reopened just days later under a new name - Doctors Hospital Ltd which again closed shortly after. Before that the building, which dates back to the Victorian era, was known as the Abbey Caldew hospital. Private healthcare website list some of the services offered here including vaginal inspection, womb lining removal, female sterilisation (Keyhole surgery) and a variety of plastic surgeries.
Wasnt too sure whether this should be NP, if this is already out there and I've not realised feel free to move to public
