There are in total 5 WW2 shelters in Luton and there may well be a sixth. I've been working on this project for years now but its really only in last six months that actually done anything about it. I can't claim to be the first to re-discover these shelters but I do take some credit for finding the exact location for some of them.
To be 100% honest if you do one of these shelters then really you have kind of seen them all as they all get a bit samey after a bit plus everything has long since been stripped out. Having said, looking back, this little project has really been damn good fun, which is what it's all about at the end of the day.
The Moor - A low level cut and cover shelter. Not really a lot going on here and all based on a sort of large rectangle shape.
One of the entrances - only one is still do-able, as found by Southside.
Taking pictures of old electrics, always a bad sign...
This appears to be some kind of wartime radar device. Perhaps something to do with Luton airport.
