Easily the largest and most feature packed drain in london weve done so far, and weve only just scracthed the surface, barley 2%. In certain sections the main pipe is almost three times as big as ochre and it a site to be seen!.
named because of the constant colour changes in the bricks and the complicated interlocking sections.
We arrived around 9ish after i got completly lost and ended up god knows where. Went to our manhole and down.
The first section was the Effra a yellow bricked sewer but we had bigger fish to fry. So after a bit of walking and several junctions we found our drop down into Rubix. The brickwork changed from yellow to red to black to red again. Madness. After an hour of walking and admiring the features we came to another section where the pipe opened up almost 4 times its original size into a mega pipe!!!!. A bit further up a massive gravity flap with ladders up and over. Behind yet another mega pipe. We had to limit ourself to stopping here as we had a time limit and not photographed anything yet!, so cameras out and we begin snapping away and heading back to the enterance.
