Set among landscaped gardens in a secluded wooded setting, The Westwood Hotel is a privately owned, luxurious boutique hotel & features 20 individually designed bedrooms.
Built in 1910 as a charming Edwardian gentleman's residence, the hotel offers a true haven of tranquillity and a relaxed country house atmosphere.
Closed sometime in 2020 I'm guessing as their Facebook page fell silent after December 2019.
The Explore
This is about as exciting as it gets locally for me at the moment.
Found while driving around at work, I spotted the boarded up windows and went back a few weeks later for a look.
To be fair it didn’t look to bad on various hotel websites and their Facebook page but sadly now its pretty bad inside & absolutely covered in mould it stank!.
Most rooms completely stripped, probably been stripped for metal although did look like it may have started to get renovated but workers must have downed tools and left a while ago as clearly no one’s been inside for a while as was constantly getting cobwebs in my face while walking around.
