Apologies for the short report. Not much is known about this barge from what I have been able to find. Stories from locals all seem to corroborate each other, but I cannot be certain this is the truth.

From what I have found through lots of research, the ship was named the Tosca, and was Dutch built in the nineteen thirties, an exact time period is unknown. It was moored at Boal Quay in King’s Lynn at some point in the nineties (again, exact date is unknown). A single elderly lady lived aboard, until the tidal surges of 2013, where the lady was pulled from the ship by fire crews due to the barge floating once more, proving her life was not quite up yet. Afterwards, the boat ran aground once more, and has sat in the same position since. On May 8th, 2018, a fire started aboard the ship, the exact cause is still unknown, and emergency services found no one onboard the ship when they arrived.

Boal Quay, South Lynn I believe. It's a well known spot but on a recent pass I found it's been covered in anti climb paint, and surrounded with fencing. Didn't stop us taking a sofa up there and admiring the view lol

A wreck but a bit different

Before the fire in 2018, it was apparently deemed seaworthy still and there were plans to renovate it and turn it into a little club. Of course, I've never seen or heard of this so I'm pretty sure it was just a case of hearsay. The hull has now rotted, so I doubt it's still seaworthy today. I spent a good week on Google, all I found was the ship's name and origin, which I've now lost so sadly this ship seems to be forgotten and left to time...
