Report - Town Centre Rooftops, Crewe - May 2018

May 2018​

Much like most towns Crewe has fallen victim to the large 'out of town' Retail Park, a dying town centre that is just a shell of the past with many vacant and boarded up shops and a council who don't seem to be bothered. The roof is nothing special height wise but does provide some lovely shots (especially of the Clock Tower), with most of the roof belonging to the former Marks and Spencer's building which until 2017 had been occupied by the chain for over 50 years.

Visit it again and you will see that most of those shops have now gone. Crewe has become a empty shell with no identity.
