Tygaflor, Rock nook mill, Summit, Rochdale
History
Two business men Forthergill and Harvey in 1910, made it a cotton yarn and cloth manufacturer. In 1987 the business was bought by Courtaulds, which make fabics and chemicals and then was bought by Tygaflor Ltd, who producer lino flooring, but now stands empty and derelict and has been for a number of years.
The Visit
Pretty derped is this place, all the interesting features have long since been removed by the land pirates or trashed by the local youths, but as it was local, it was worth popping along as it seems to be one of these places that is open one minute and closed down the next.
One of these days I will post a more up to date report.......Honest!
