History
The Typhoo Tea Factory was founded by John Summer in 1903.
The factory was used for tea production from the 1930's, surviving bombing during WW2.
Typhoo merged with Schweppes in 1968 and the following year merged with Cadbury to form Cadbury Schweppes.
The factory eventually closed in 1978 .
However the building remained in use by a clothing company called S Rose & Co until the late 00's
Parts of the Building ( possibly just the roof ) were also used for filming in the 2018 blockbuster Ready Player one

After 3 previous failed attempts over a period of 2 years i finally managed to get inside!.
Although now just a shell with absolutely nothing left of its former life as a tea factory, or the more recent clothes makers it was still pretty decent.
Plenty of colorful graffiti around and signs of the free party that happened just a few months back it was well worth the wait.
