Was debating putting this up for a while as it isn't a particularly long culvert, but as it's there I thought why not? It was first discovered by Moose way before I'd even heard of draining, and it was only after I'd mentioned finding it to him that he told me about his obsession with exploring local drains during his school years (I can almost guarantee that there isn't a culvert in the Bury/Tottington area that Moose hasn't poked his head in).
The culvert starts out as a stone arch before changing to brick a few metres in. Further down, the tunnel opens up to standing height & is supported by what looks like arched metal railway tracks before changing back to stone and shrinking to an impassable height.
Could probably have made more effort with pictures but it had started raining and I only had my point-and-shoot with me. Cheers for looking!
