Wapping Road School, Bradford - June 2023

a while back me and a mate explored this rather unique school unfortunatley it has been subject to arson and was pretty sketchy in places.
i dont know the history of the place but what makes it so interesting is the fact that it had its own swimming pool.

Welcome to 28dl. Some good photos there. I particularly like the chimney as chimneys are a favourite of mine.

Just some friendly feedback coming though. Its always nice to have the history of a place if possible, date built, by whom, purpose and closure etc and any event that happened in the location too. Also in line with forum rules and for cohesive reasons your title needs amending to include area, mth and year. So we can keep track of changes to a site.

If I'm honest it'd be impossible for this particular location to get more trashed.

no i cant stick a rough date on it other than what i have put down as it was months ago so it was sometime in june that i went here

I googled 'Derelict School Bradford' and as if by magic...

This one is Wapping road school:

Wapping Road School opened in 1877 and was the first school in the country to have its own swimming pool. It later played a central role in Margaret and Rachel McMillan’s efforts to improve conditions of children in the country’s schools.

It shut in 2000 and in recent years the historic building has suffered arson attacks and vandalism, leaving it a shell of its former splendour.
There's also the Yorkshire Martyrs one up by Tong (even more derp than this)

i was refering to some of the places iv been to eg uk chainsaw masacre house or a social club i did that were not touched by vandals and arsonists so with them sort of places i wont give out name of towns ib way of protecting them from being ruined
