Birmingham was known the world over for it's guns. BSA being the best knows birmingham maker.
Westley Richards have made guns here since 1812. The council have forced them out of their ancestral home to make way for a new road. Criminal if you ask me... but thats "progress" eh?!
History has been covered well... so just some more shots of the place. If your local I would urge you to go and see this. There are not many of the old narrow workshops left in "the workshop of the world" anymore...
They also made hunting apparel and gun bags, it was a pleasure to find elephant and zebra hide when digging through the leather stock!
Note the guys "trophey" gun, that had bagged him 8 lions... If it was including 8 lions god only knows what else he had gunned down!
I fancy hunter girl
