Evening all, first report on here. I know this ones been done to death, but we've all gotta start somewhere.
History
So the brewery first opened its doors in 1868 as William Stones brewery in Neepsend, Sheffield. However the brewery was operating previous to this under a different name. It was taken over by Bass Brewery in 1968 and later closed in 1999. The biggest name produced on site was Stones Bitter, with several pubs in Sheffield still carrying that name today. So today it sits there being vandalized, graffiti'd and explored. I haven't heard of any plans for the site any time soon. (However there are major developments beginning close to this site)
Our Explore
So after a reccy a couple of days earlier the four of us made our way in early afternoon with a steady couple of hours in mind. Starting in the first building we soon found the stairs to the basement. I didn't even know there was a basement so was shocked to spend two hours down there, it just keeps going (guess it must cover the whole site). We emerged back into the grey drissly Sheffield daylight and worked our way though the buildings and up onto the roofs. Plenty of photographs later we were unfortunately joined on site by some youths who proceeded to begin smashing shit up. Thankfully they didn't bother us and left soon after. More wandering and more photos brought us into nighttime. So the torches came out, some light painting done. And we made our way out six hours later.
