Wishbone, Manchester

Not one of the most inspiring places I have been of late, however a decent enough find by concreteJungle a couple of years back now :thumb

Getting too it was a bit of a faff in all honesty and if it hadn't been for the fact I was looking for something else in the area I might never have stumbled upon it

I assume 'Wishbone', by the shape of the outfall, a birds eye view would reveal a similar shape

The outfall carries the brook down some large concrete steps, to the right another (dry) overflow connects via some steep concrete stairs from the embankment above

A barely 5ft CMP carries the watercourse around 250m underneath a busy stretch of motorway before connecting with a 2 tier inspection chamber

Here it shrinks to a 3ft RCP on the upstream section

I had a quick st00p, shone the mighty fenix as far as the eye could see, but it just appeared to shrink to around 2ft with no obvious sign of an infall so I fucked it off...
