I first spotted this place on the way to an interview in Halifax.
Recently Syme and myself went up west yorkshire in search of mills, and called in here, it was a Sunday, and although it looked as if someone was on site we could not find them.
Yesterday on the way up to Oxenhope Labs i popped in to have another look. The blokes were more than happy to let me take photographs and the fire man even gave me a little tour and talked me through the process. A really nice place and nice to see industry changed little to how it was in the early 1900`s.
A couple of the kilns were still coal fired, and the other three had been converted to gas fired.
Put it up in here as the gaffer came down and asked what was going on. Due to health and safety i was supposed to have been signed in and issued some hi-viz. He didn`t look to happy with the blokes, but did not make a big issue of it.
