Whilst on a hike in the Peaks we stumbled across this little hidden church in complete disrepair and all of the gravestones unkept and forgotten.

In 1878 the church was built on its original site on Featherstall Road In Littleborough. This became known as the ‘Iron Church’ as it was made of metal sheets. the Mission of St Hilda dismantled and re-built at Hollingworth Fold in 1931, until it was closed due to structural problems in 1998.
Hi guys, yet another short thread.
Unfortunately, I and my friend didn't manage to get inside of the Church. I am aware that the land is now owned privately, however from what I've read the owner cannot start work as he cannot enter the farmland which surrounds the Church grounds.
Some...
This was our second explore of the day, we just spotted it by chance opposite the place we'd come to see. Was not disappointed, what a gorgeous building!
Built in 1865, it was the highest building in Liverpool at the time.
It's been disused since the 90s, and I read something about it getting...
History:
Somewhere in a former industrial hub lays this now forgotten church. This church dates all the way back the the 1800s at the time it was one of the most prosperous buildings in the valley. Nowadays this church has been closed for a couple of years due to it being declared unsafe by the...

Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1833 in Arthog, near Barmouth in North Wales. In 1868 it was rebuilt in the Gothic style of the gable-entry type, by architect Thomas of Landore, and eventually closed in 1973. Apparently the owner of the building moved abroad to avoid paying a bill...
History
The church was constructed in 1834 and enlarged in 1866, when the interior was refitted to accommodate 600 worshipers. The interior is one of the best and most complete in Cornwall, containing original box pews, oval gallery with stencil decoration and the box pulpit, incorporated into...
History:
This place has been covered multiple times and there is a lot of history on google so I don't want to just copy and paste a big stream of text again.

last week I met two fellow explorers who were not only great guys but also knew their stuff. We ended up trying a site earlier on in the day but that came to an end, so like all good explorers they decided to have this place as a plan B. it didn't disappoint....

St Josephs Seminary was a former Roman Catholic seminary in Upholland, England. The building was built in April 1880 and was opened in 1883.

So after finding this place online I knew I had to take a trip to this place. We were staying in the local area so it was the perfect opportunity. After a ten minute walk down a bridal path (completely off the beaten track) we found our Chapel. (I am presuming it ended up closing its doors...
So we had a little tip off about this place, and as it was close to home we thought we would check it out! Here's a little bit of history about the place...
In 1860 Sir Richard Glyn took down the old church and replaced it with what is considered to be a fairly typical estate church. Built of...
Really, it's not much of a find in regards to content but it's interesting for the locals nonetheless. I pass it so often at work that I'd never really given it much thought other than it being a great shame that it's rotting away.
Built in 1855 and was in use as a church until 1967. Since...
This place has always been an interest to me because of the amount of history and urban legends floating around. The Church gates are open during the day but locked over night as it is a popular place to go to try and get spooked and explore (I too did this as a kid). The church gates also...
Bedham Church is nestled away in woodland near the hamlet of Bedham near Petworth, West Sussex. I've visited this place once before and had to go back to show a couple of my exploring buddies! It's situated on public land so is easy to access and have a little nosey. However the road up to it is...
Visited as a post work explore with @Choo Choo m8ty. Built by the Manchester architect Edward Walters in a Gothic style, the Grade II listed Wycliffe Congregational Church has seen very little change in the last 170 years. The church is split across 3 floors with the basement level previously...
This location has been posted before. Also known as Bastard Church/Chapel because of a family surname bastard buried here. But forgot to take picture of those gravestones.
Been closed for some time as you can see. Not much to be found history wise either.
There are two buildings. The main...
