Brings back memories of work, coal cutting machine was known as a “Shearer” manufacturer unknown from the pictures, the hydraulic rams were for supporting the roof and pushing the chain conveyor into the coal were “chocks”, the small machine appears to be an “Eimco Shovel” and the the chain conveyer was known by various names, AFC or armoured flexible conveyor or often panzer. Hope this helps in future, you’d think I would have seen enough pits after 30 years in the dark?
