@ACID- REFLUX is 'alternative dirty weekend' a euphuism for draining or do I not want to know?

Well it did involve exploring a dark tunnel which started out fairly dry after my initial squeeze in, but rapidly got wetter as i progressed. It"s just the intermittant floods you have to be prepared for as you know :thumb

I wouldn't bother travelling that distance to see it but it's worth a look if you're passing by. No idea on the current status of the place sorry

Loving the shots, went down there earlier and saw that they're redeveloping now.

This was a random spot whilst driving through Llandudno, a quick bit of googling revealed it was abandoned in 2008 and has Grade II listed status. We figured it might be worth a nose around so went down there early in the morning and found our way inside. The place has been mostly stripped but there is lots of decay and some nice features left behind. Visited with Lenston and a couple of Germans, we did our best not to mention the war but the V day celebrations on the radio were difficult to avoid at times.

The building dates back to the 1870s and was formerly two hotels, Tudno Castle and the Temperance Hotel. It became the Great Western Hotel and then went back to the Tudno Castle name. It was Grade II Listed in 1976. A previous attempt to redevelop the site collapsed, but last year developers revealed a new plan for the site. Under the £10m plans Opus Land would build a 63 bed hotel, retaining the existing facade, create three restaurants, two retail units and a business unit on the top floor.

I'm not so sure about that personally, the place is fucked. Anyway, here are some photos, I quite enjoyed it in here despite it being stripped out.

Thanks for looking :thumb
Wondering why this looked familiar, this is being redeveloped into a Premier Inn, beefeater and retail units, can't wait to see when it's done
