Hi, this is my first time posting so I hope I’ve posted this in the right section! This was a shopping centre in Ebbw Vale which only closed down last year because of the pandemic, however, it was getting a bit run down before that.
History
It used to be the site of one of the National garden festivals in the early 90s, designed to regenerate old industrial areas, but they ended up making a shopping centre on it a few years later.
there was more to do than just shopping though, there a cool children’s play area and “super tubing”, which was this attraction where you sit in a dinghy and go down a hill which had a slippery wet surface. There’s also an owl sanctuary but it’s still open.
we explored for a bit and even saw some other people having a look around. The site is covered in security cameras which we naively ignored and not long after, we were escorted out by security!
Anyway, here are the photos, sorry if they’re not the best, I quickly took them on my phone.
